“The Emperor protects! (and provides)”
Something for everyone. Here’s a bit more detail on some of the big hitters;
Space Marine ‘s Horde Mode
“Give them no ground”
Space Marines 2’s gears of war inspiration continues further with its upcoming Horde mode. It’s called Siege and it releases as a free update on June 26th. The trailer below shows a variety of marines holding off hordes of Xenos in a gory & glorious fashion.
The highlight? An Ultramarine dreadnought in action which is confirmed to be gameplay, it’s not playable but it can be called in as a reinforcement.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy
A tactical RPG developed by Owlcat studios. The imperium is besieged on all fronts and in your role as an inquisitor to lead investigations that will uncover grand conspiracies and wage a secret war against heresy. There’s no release date as of yet but it is set to release on PC, PS5 and XSX.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Remaster
The original Space Marine game remastered in 4k with improved character models, modernised controls and an easier to use UI. A great opportunity to go back and slaughter some Orks.
Titled the Master Crafted Edition, this has been developed by SneakyBox and is currently only announced for PC and Xbox. I’m assuming it will come to PS at some point and will update accordingly if it is announced.
Last, but certainly not least…

The Blood Ravens will march again! Dawn of War is returning, an updated definitive edition has been announced for PC. Including all the standalone expansions (4 campaigns, 9 armies, over 200 maps) With a few fixes to bugs, upgraded visuals, widescreen support, and now that hardware constraints have been lifted the camera doesn’t have to be zoomed in.
But the core gameplay and coding is the same, all the fun and quirks the original games had for better or worse are there. (A little like the Oblivion Remaster). This also means the game will be compatible with all the mods that have been created over the years.
Let this be the catalyst of a glorious old school RTS renaissance!
